Restored Church Toronto

Our Mission

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20

Following the Great Commission of Jesus Christ, we are called to make disciples of all nations. We are committed to helping people from every background—regardless of culture, language, or status—encounter the saving power of Jesus Christ. Through baptism, we welcome them into a life-transforming relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We aim to guide each person in growing in faith, obedience to God’s Word, and the power of the Holy Spirit, always trusting that Jesus is with us to the very end of the age.

What We Believe

The following beliefs outline the core truths we hold to as a church, based on Scripture, which guide our faith, practices, and mission as followers of Jesus Christ.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and serves as the ultimate authority in all matters of life and doctrine. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19)

We believe God created humanity in His image and desires a personal relationship with each individual. (Genesis 1:27)

We believe that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins and that He rose again, conquering death and offering eternal life to all who believe. (Romans 3:22-24, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8)

We believe Jesus Christ holds all authority on earth and will return to reign forever as King. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

We believe we are saved by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him. (Ephesians 2:1-10, Hebrews 11:1-6)

We believe all people have sinned and are separated from God, but salvation is available to everyone. (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23)

We believe salvation is granted to those who place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, repent of their sins, and are baptized for the forgiveness of their sins. (Acts 2:38-41, Romans 6:3-8)

We believe Christians are called to obey God’s Word and live a life that reflects true repentance, producing fruit in keeping with our faith. (John 8:31-32, Matthew 28:20, Acts 26:20)

We believe the Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue His mission of seeking and saving the lost. (Colossians 1:15-18, Matthew 16:18-19, Luke 19:10)

Our Ministry Focus

Our goal is to be a vibrant community of disciples who love God and each other, serve humbly, share the Gospel, and grow together as a loving, maturing body of Christ.

Worship

We are called to be a worshiping community, both in attitude and lifestyle. (Matthew 4:10, John 4:23-24, Romans 12:1-2) In our services and in our daily lives, we seek to honor God, expressing awe, gratitude, humility, and reverence. Our relationship with God is at the heart of everything we do, and worship should be a consistent focus in our walk with Him.

Prayer

We are committed to being a church of prayer, knowing that all our ministry and growth flow from a deep relationship with God. (Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) Prayer is vital for guidance, strength, and alignment with God's will, and we rely on it to transform lives and fulfill our mission.

Holiness

True worship leads us to a desire for holiness. (Leviticus 11:45, 1 Thessalonians 4:7) God calls us to be separate from the world, reflecting His holiness in our lives. Holiness is more than avoiding sin—it is developing a passion for righteousness, desiring to live as Christ did, with Him as the Lord of our lives.

Family

Christianity is a "one-another" faith. We are the family of God, united by a common faith, shared love, and the blood of Christ. (Romans 12:9, 1 Corinthians 12:12-39, Galatians 5:13-26) We are committed to loving, forgiving, encouraging, serving, and sacrificing for each other. As a family, we share our possessions, hearts, and lives in mutual care and support.

Discipling

We are committed not only to baptizing believers (Acts 2:38, Ephesians 4:1-7) but to equipping and maturing disciples for a life of kingdom impact. (Ephesians 4:11-16) We believe in the importance of mutual growth, accountability, and giving and receiving biblical counsel as we all continue to mature in Christ.

Serving

Our church is built on the principle of serving others, following the example of Jesus who came to serve, not to be served. (John 12:24-26) The heart of service is a willingness to sacrifice—whether through time, energy, or resources—meeting the needs of others as an expression of God's love. We are called to be agents of healing and restoration in a hurting world.

Evangelism

We are committed to sharing the Good News that Jesus is Lord and Savior. (1 Peter 2:9-10, 1 Peter 3:15) Evangelism should flow naturally from our lives, as we testify to the hope we have in Christ. We encourage both personal and communal efforts in evangelism, offering small groups and gatherings to help strengthen our commitment to reaching the lost.

Benevolence

We are committed to sharing the Good News that Jesus is Lord and Savior. (1 Peter 2:9-10, 1 Peter 3:15) Evangelism should flow naturally from our lives, as we testify to the hope we have in Christ. We encourage both personal and communal efforts in evangelism, offering small groups and gatherings to help strengthen our commitment to reaching the lost.
